The Survivors retreat has been carefully designed to initiate titrated access points where each woman will have the opportunity to come into contact with the source of her trauma through the wisdom of her own body.
The retreat will take place at the Tandava Retreat center nestled in the sleepy mountains of Tepoztlan, Mexico.
During your stay you can expect to be held by the lovely staff at the Tandava Retreats center. Included with your retreat, you will receive access to our full length swimming pool, soaking hot tub, Turkish steam sauna, property wide Wi-fi, laundry service and daily housekeeping.

Minding the Body
In this 45-minute workshop, participants will better understand the inherent connection between our bodies, our sexuality and trauma. The memories of our trauma(s) live in our body because they are too much to hold and reconcile in our mind. There is no way to make the trauma acceptable or understandable, thus our body has the job of trying to metabolize it. Because sexual happens in the body, it must be healed through the body. In this opening workshop, participants will be guided through somatic exercises that promote self-awareness and nervous system regulation. By utilizing the breath and the body, participants will practice cultivating an internalized sense of safety while stepping into new possibilities and self-expansion.
Fantasy & Shadow
The medicine offers a rare and unique opportunity to access our shadows. Knowing that we are undeniably safe and held in compassion and understanding, this 45-minute workshop engenders inward reflection to access the deepest parts of ourselves that we previously felt–or may still feel–are unloveable. Participants will use meditation and journaling to explore fantasy and our deepest desires in relation to shadow and erotic expansion. Discovering what we can learn from those hidden, seemingly untouchable parts of ourselves will help us deeply settle into our integration process.
Kundalini Meditation
Led by Pyasa, this guided somatic practice is a dynamic, embodied dancing meditation that supports the release of physical and emotional tension while deepening connection to the body. Through a rhythm of movement, expression, stillness, and rest, participants are invited to engage with sensation, emotion, and breath in an intuitive, non-verbal way. This practice creates space for the nervous system to regulate, for stored stress and trauma to unwind, and for vitality and presence to naturally emerge. By moving through layers of holding, participants can access a deeper sense of clarity, aliveness, and embodied awareness—offering a pathway back to the body’s innate intelligence and capacity for healing.
Touch & Consent: Embodied Exploration
In this immersive session, Pyasa guides participants through a series of touch-based, consent-centered practices designed to support nervous system regulation, authentic expression, and embodied connection. Through structured explorations of giving and receiving touch, individuals are invited to clarify boundaries, tune into sensation, and practice asking for what they truly want. These practices help distinguish between habitual patterns and authentic desire, offering a space to reconnect voice with felt experience. By slowing down and becoming more present with their own needs and limits, participants can unwind layers of conditioning around touch, access greater emotional clarity, and strengthen their capacity for empowered, consent-based relating. This work is especially nourishing for those healing from boundary rupture or touch-related trauma, providing a grounded, respectful environment to restore trust in oneself and in connection with others.
Shame & Resilience
In this 1-hour workshop, participants will explore the most common elements of sexual shame and the ways they manifest somatically, relationally and sexually. This workshop will include dyadic sharing that centers vulnerability and heart expansion. An exploration of resilience and thriving will follow, including an embodied meditation. We will send additional love to our BIPOC sisters in honor of Juneteenth.
Self-Trust
In this one-hour workshop, participants will further ground in their healing by exploring the foundations of Eros in relation to self-trust and envisioning our embodied future. Utilizing dyadic and group sharing, we will dive deep into the relationship between self-trust and forgiveness, and how those principles apply to vitality, creativity, imagination and spirituality. By considering our journey through a somatic lens, we will use breath and movement to own our space, our bodies and our right to deep, embodied connection with ourselves and others.
Neurogenic Tremoring (TRE)
Guided by Pyasa, this session introduces a gentle yet powerful somatic practice designed to support the release of deep muscular tension, chronic stress, and held trauma. Using a series of simple exercises to safely fatigue and activate specific muscle groups, participants will initiate neurogenic tremors—an involuntary shaking response that originates in the psoas and supports the body in discharging excess activation from the nervous system. This natural response allows the body to complete unfinished stress cycles and return to a state of balance. Participants will be guided with clear instruction and grounding support, ensuring a safe container to explore this self-regulating process at their own pace.
Boundaries & Consent
In this experiential session, Pyasa facilitates a somatic exploration of boundaries and consent through practices rooted in the Wheel of Consent framework. Sound and movement, sensory awareness, and structured partner explorations are interwoven to support nervous system regulation and embodied presence. Participants will engage in exercises that help them attune to internal cues, recognize authentic desires and limits, and express them with greater clarity. These tools are especially supportive for those healing from sexual abuse, offering a safe space to rebuild trust in the body’s signals and reestablish a felt sense of agency. Through the embodied investigation of giving, receiving, allowing, and taking, participants begin to re-pattern their relationship to touch, power, and pleasure—laying the foundation for more empowered, consent-based connection with self and others.
During the retreat there will be some downtime between your second medicine session and dinner. If you would like to pamper yourself with a massage, just let us know before your arrival and we will make sure to have a masseuse ready for you!
